Alcatel working on 2 more devices planned under the Idol 4 moniker. One would be the Windows 10 powered Idol 4 Pro while the other would be an Idol 4 Mini powered by Android Marshmallow.
Idol 4 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm compared to the Snapodragon 652 powering the 4S. The internal memory and RAM are higher – 64GB with 4GB RAM on the 4 Pro while the 4S has 32GB and 3GB RAM. The camera resolution too has been increased from 16 MP to 21 MP at the back while the front camera remains the same at 8 Megapixels. The Idol 4 Pro also adds a fingerprint sensor at the back along with Windows’ Continuum.
The Idol 4 Mini is not as small as its name suggests since it still packs a 5 inch display which is marginally smaller than the 5.2 inch display on the Idol 4. The resolution too has been lowered to 720p and the device comes in two processor variants. One with an octa-core MT6750 processor and the other with a quad-core MT6738 processor. There will be three variants as far as storage and RAM goes – 1GB with 8GB memory, 2GB with 16GB memory and 3GB with 32GB memory.It is expected to have a 13 Megapixel camera at the back and a 5 Megapixel camera at the front. It will have a 2400mAH battery and a fingerprint scanner built-into the home button. Details regarding the pricing and release date are not available yet for either phone.
