Google Pixel and Pixel XL to launch on October 4 , Camera specs leaked

As reported earlier Google is expected to launch nexus phones with their own branding now according to new report 2016 Nexus smartphones will be known as Pixel and Pixel XL which is set to debut on October 4 along with an updated 4K-capable Chromecast that will be called either the Chromecast Plus or the Chromecast Ultra. Finally, the company will also unveil Daydream VR that is said to be called as Daydream View.

Google introduced the Pixel branding with its high-end Android Pixel C tablet last year prior to which it has also launched two Pixel Chromebooks. As per the source Google plans to market the Pixel and Pixel XL as the “first phones built by Google”.

The 5-inch Sailfish will be called as Pixel while the 5.5-inch Marlin will be the Pixel XL. Android Police had earlier reported that both the phones feature quad-core Qualcomm processors, 4GB of RAM, and 12-megapixel cameras. Earlier this week, a separate report also said that Google will drop the Nexus branding on its upcoming smartphones. Pixel & Pixel XL  will feature a 12MP rear camera with  IMX378 (12mp)  and 8MP front facing camera with  IMX179 sensor


Pixel (Sailfish) to feature a 5-inch Full HD Display powered by 2.1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On Camera it has a 13MP Rear camera and 8MP front facing camera

Pixel XL (M1) to feature a 5.5" FHD/ QHD AMOLED display powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820/821 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32/ 128GB of internal storage . Fingerprint Scanner on Back similar to Nexus 6P. On camera it has a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. packed by a 3450mAh Battery.

Google will make all the aforementioned devices official at an event on October 4th.
