Google Pixel and Pixel Xl gets VoLTE support with Android 7.1.1 update

Google has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update for the Pixel, Pixel XL and compatible Nexus devices latest Android 7.1.1 finally brings support for VoLTE for Reliance Jio in India and other operators worldwide that support VoLTE.


You can enable VoLTE by enabling ‘Enhanced 4G LTE Mode’ from the cellular network settings. ‘HD’ in the status bar denotes that VoLTE is enabled. Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update also brings new emoji that reflect the pivotal roles women play in the world, option to send GIFs directly from the keyboard on supported apps such as Google Allo, Google Messenger and Hangouts, app shortcuts that can be launched directly from home screen and more for Nexus devices.

Google pixel feature a 5-inch (1920x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection powered by a  2.15 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has a  4GB of RAM and 32GB / 128GB internal storage/ Device runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat). On camera, it has a 12.3 MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.55umpixel, f/2.0 aperture, OIS  and 8MP front camera. The device has a Fingerprint sensor on rear. It measures  143.8 x 69.5 x 8.6mm and  Weight: 143g. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. Packed with a 2,770mAh battery.


Pixel XL  feature a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display powered by a Snapdragon 821 CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, with 4GB of RAM and  32GB or 128GB of internal storage.On camera it has a 12.3 MP rear-facing camera has an f/2.0 aperture and OIS. An 8MP front-facing camera. Android 7.1 is pre-installed, and a fingerprint scanner is found under the rear camera.  packed by a 3450mAh Battery. There is a rapid charging feature that will power up your cell with 7-hours of juice in just 15-minutes. The phone is 8.6mm thick and weighs 168 grams. The model measures 154.7mm x 75.7mm. A USB-Type C port can be found on the device.
