Asus launches ZenBooks, StudioBook, VivoBook and gaming laptops

Asus at CES 2019 has unveiled ZenBook S13 (UX392) ZenBook 14 (UX431), StudioBook S (W700), VivoBook 14,15, 15, Zephyrus S (GX531GX/GW/GV), SCAR II, Hero II, G703, GX701, and ROG Laptops.

Asus ZenBook S13 UX392 packs ultra slim-bezels on all corner giving room for more screen to real-estate. It sports a 13.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) LED-backlit IPS NanoEdge display with 100% sRGB color gamut and 400nits brightness. It is powered by upto Intel Core i7-8565U, 4C/8T, 1.8GHz (8MB cache, up to 4.6GHz) coupled with NVIDIA discrete GPU. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR3 2133MHz  RAM and up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD storage. Connectivity options and ports include 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C,  1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, 1 MicroSD, dual-band 2×2 802.11ac.It comes with 50Wh battery, measures 12.4″ x 7.7″ x 0.5″ and weighs 997 grams. It runs on Windows 10 Professional. The laptop comes with a top bump to keep the webcam and also acts as handy tab for lifting the laptop’s lid.

 Asus ZenBook 14 UX431 is powered by up to Intel Core i7-8565U, 4C/8T, 1.8GHz with 8MB cache, up to 4.6GHz coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX150. It sports a 14-inch Full HD (1920×1080) LED-backlit 16:9 NanoEdge display and packs 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR3 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe x2 SSD + SATA SSD. It runs on Windows 10. Connectivity features include dual-band 2×2 802.11ac, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI, 1 SD card slot, Bluetooth 5.0. It comes with Quad-speaker Harmon Kardon-certified audio system. The laptop packs 47Wh battery and weighs 1.18 kgs and measures 12.73″ x 8.34″ x 0.63.”



Asus StudioBook S W700 sports a 17-inch FHD (1920 x 1200) NanoEdge LED-backlit display with the anti-glare panel, 178° wide viewing angles, 97% DCI-P3 color gamut, 8-bit color. It is powered by the Intel Xeon E-2176M, 6C/12T, 2.7GHz processor, and another model with up to Intel Core i7-8750H, 6C/12T, a 2.2GHz processor coupled with NVIDIA Quadro P3200, 6GB GDDR5 VRAM. It packs up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and up to 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage. It has a 57Wh battery and dual-band 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). It runs on Windows 10 Professional.



Asus VivoBook 14 has a 14-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display and is powered by the Intel Core i3-8145U, 2C/4T, 1.2GHz with 4MB cache, boost speed of up to 3.9GHz coupled with Intel UHD Graphics 620 and upto NVIDIA GeForce MX130 discrete graphics with 2GB VRAM. It packs up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB storage option. Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. It packs a 37Wh battery. The laptop measures 12.7″ x 8.4″ x 0.77″ and weighs 1.4Kgs. It runs on Windows 10 and packs a fingerprint sensor within the trackpad.



Asus VivoBook 15 packs a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display and is powered by the Intel Core i5-8265U, 4C/8T, 1.6GHz with 6MB cache, up to 3.9GHz boost speed. It is coupled with Intel UHD Graphics 620 and upto NVIDIA GeForce MX130 discrete graphics with 2GB VRAM. It packs up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB storage option. Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. It packs a 37Wh battery. The laptop measures 14.1″ x 9.1″ x 0.77″ and weighs 1.5Kgs. It runs on Windows 10. Ports on the device include USB Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, and USB 2.0, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader.

Asus VivoBook 17 packs a 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with 178° viewing angles and is powered by the Intel Core i7-8565U, 4C/8T, 1.8GHz (8MB cache, up to 4.6GHz). It packs up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD with a 1TB / 2TB HDD storage. Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. It packs a 32Wh battery. The laptop measures 16″ x 10″ x 0.84″ and weighs 2.08Kgs. It runs on Windows 10. Ports on the device include USB Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, and USB 2.0, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader. It runs on Windows 10.





ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DY and FX705DY gaming laptops powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 5 3550H processor, with up to 32GB of RAM. This new platform is paired with discrete Radeon graphics coupled with vivid FreeSync displays. The laptops are powered by the 2nd Gen Ryzen Mobile APU which is built on 12nm technology.

Asus TUF Gaming FX505DY sports a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with 120Hz NanoEdge IPS-level. It packs up to 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM and up to 512GB NVMe SSD and up to 1TB FireCuda SSHD. It is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3550H coupled with Radeon RX 560X. Connectivity ports include 1 HDMI 2.0, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1, 1 USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN. It has a 48Wh battery and measures 14.2″ x 10.3″ x 0.98″ and weighs 2.19 Kgs. It runs on Windows 10 OS.

Asus TUF FX705DY packs a 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with 60Hz NanoEdge IPS-level. It is also powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3550H coupled with Radeon RX 560X and packs 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM and up to 1TB FireCuda SSHD. It has a 64Wh battery and measures 15.7″ x 11″ x 1.06″ and weighs 2.5 Kgs. It runs on Windows 10. Both the laptops come with a specially-designed thermal solution which keeps internal temperatures in check and maintains consistent performance over time.Both models feature DTS Headphone:X technology with 7.1-channel virtual surround. The Asus TUF Gaming FX505DY and TUF Gaming FX705DY will be available from Q1.



ROG has announced Mothership GZ700 and ZEPHYRUS S GX701 ultra-slim gaming laptops which comes with ultra-fast 144Hz/3ms G-Sync display powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics and Intel Core i98950HK CPU that runs at up to 4.3GHz with all six core.

ROG Mothership GZ700 gaming device sports a 17.3-inches FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS-level panel display with 144Hz, 3ms, 100% sRGB, Optimus, G-SYNC. It is powered by the Intel Core i9-8950HK coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. It packs up to 64GB DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM and 512GB SSD  3 x M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4. It runs on Windows 10 Home. Connectivity features include Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200, 2×2 802.11ax Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0.
The keyboard is detachable with wired or wireless modes, packs Per-key Aura Sync RGB backlighting and the keyboard has 2.5mm travel distance, N-key rollover. There are 4 x 4W speakers with Smart Amp technologyArray microphone. It measures 410 (W) x 320 (D) x 29.9 (H) mm and weighs 4.7kg. Ports on this include HDMI 2.0, Thunderbolt 3, and Type-C USB ports, three USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and one Gen 1.


ROG ZEPHYRUS S GX701 ULTRA-SLIM comes with 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) IPS display with 144Hz, 3ms, 100% sRGB, Optimus, G-SYNC. It is powered by the Intel Core i7-8750H coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q Design 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 VRAM depending on the variant.It packs 8GB onboard DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM and has support up to 24GB and 3X4 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe, M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 512GB / 1TB SSD. It runs on Windows 10 Home. Connectivity features include 802.11ac 2×2 WLAN, Bluetooth 5.0. The keyboard has support for Per-key Aura Sync RGB backlighting and 1.4mm travel distance N-key rollover. It measures 399 (W) x 272 (D) x 187 (H) mm and weighs 2.7kg. Sonic Studio III software lets you control audio effects.

The Mothership GZ700 will be available from Q2 2019
