Acer Swift Go 14 (2023) launched in India for Rs 62,990

Acer has launched Acer Swift Go 14 in India  Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) is a thin and light laptop with a 14-inch FHD display (1080×1920) powered by AMD Ryzen 5 7530U processor, providing excellent performance and up to 9.5 hours of battery life.




With 300-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color spectrum. Additionally, the laptop includes an AI engine with Intel Movidius VPU for smooth video collaboration and AI integration, as well as Intel Unison for easy connection to Android or iOS devices. It features backlit keyboards, and OceanGlass touchpads.

Acer Swift Go 14 makes video conferencing easy with its 1440p webcam, Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR), and Acer Purified Voice AI noise reduction. The laptop is built to keep you cool with its TwinAir dual-fan system, dual D6 copper heat pipes, and air-inlet keyboard, while its aluminium chassis, slim bezels, and 90% screen-to-body ratio make it lightweight. It also features USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and MicroSD card readers, Wi-Fi 6E, and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, all weighing less than 1.3 kg.

Tecno Phantom V Fold goes official for Rs 89,999

TECNO has launched Tecno Phantom V Fold foldable phone at the MWC 2023. It has a 7.85″ 2K+ foldable 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with an 8:7 aspect ratio, 90% screen-to-body ratio. There is a 6.42-inch 1080p secondary 120Hz 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with 21:9 aspect ratio, a 91% screen-to-body ratio.




It is powered by Dimensity 9000+ SoC with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.  It runs HiOS Fold with Split Screen, Parallel Windows and more optimized for a foldable screen. Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K streaming stick in India. It supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and has built-in Chromecast. Lenovo has launched the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro tablet in India. It has an 11.5-inch 2K OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, that supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Enhancing the media viewing experience are four JBL speakers with 2.5cc chambers and support for Dolby Atmos.

Lenovo has launched Lenovo Yoga 9i, Lenovo Yoga 5i, Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i laptop in India. All laptops come with Intel 11th-gen Tiger Lake processors.


Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i features a 14-inch full-HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) IPS anti-glare display powered by the 11th-gen Intel Core i7 Tiger Lake CPU paired with up to 16GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics. the laptop has a 720p HD camera onboard with a privacy shutter. There are two 2W front speakers with Dolby Audio sound support. There's a fingerprint reader integrated on the power button and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i supports rapid charge that claims to offer up to three-hour long battery life on a 15-minute charge. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i price starts at Rs. 63,990. Apple new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini launched

Apple has introduced new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini with 5nm M1 chip, improved battery life, and more.




Apple Mac mini comes with a new M1 chip with 8-core CPU offering up to 3x faster performance than the previous generation with the Intel Core processor. The 8-core GPU promises up to a 6x increase in graphics performance for performance-intensive tasks like complex 3D rendering with ease. It offers up to 15x faster performance in ML and consumes 60% less energy than the previous generation. The new Mac mini features an advanced thermal design to sustain its breakthrough performance while staying cool and quiet, comes with support for up to two displays including Apple’s Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution with dual Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports. It has Wi-Fi 6 support and the Secure Enclave in M1 offers the best-in-class security. It has up to 8GB RAM, which is configurable up to 16GB, and 256GB or 512GB options, which is configurable up to 2TB.

Apple Mac mini with M1 chip is priced at Rs. 64,900 for the 256GB version and the 512GB version costs 84,900. It will be available from Apple Authorised Resellers offline and online in India soon.




Apple new MacBook Pro features a 13.3-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560×1600 at 227 pixels per inch, 500 nits brightness, P3 colour gamut, and True Tone technology. It is powered by Apple M1 chip which has an 8-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says that the 8-core CPU paired with the active cooling system is up to 2.8x faster than the previous generation and the 8-core GPU is up to 5x faster. Further, the ML is now up to 11x faster when compared to the previous generation. As for the memory, it sports 8GB of RAM (configurable up to 16GB) and up to 2TB of SSD.  battery life on the MacBook Pro 13-inch has been improved as well. It now delivers up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 20 hours of video playback which is twice the battery life of the previous generation. It comes with the Magic Keyboard with Scissor mechanism and the familiar Touch Bar, and as for the ports, there are 2x Thunderbolt ports with USB 4 support and a headphone jack. For connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0.
It runs on macOS Big Sur and this time, the MacBook Pro 13-inch also features Apple’s latest camera ISP that enables sharper images and more detail in shadows and highlights on video calls. Other new features include studio-quality mics, Secure Enclave in M1 chip and Touch ID.

MacBook Pro 13-inch with 256GB SSD is priced at Rs. 1,22,900 and the 512GB SSD option is priced at Rs. 1,42,900. 




Apple has also launched new MacBook Air powered by the new M1 chip with 8-core CPU offering up to 3.5x faster performance. ML workloads are up to 9x faster, and the chip’s storage controller and latest flash technology deliver up to 2x faster SSD performance. Apple said that the MacBook Air powered by M1 is faster than the chips in 98% of laptops sold in the past year.  13.3-inch Retina display now supports P3 wide color results. It has Wi-Fi 6, two Thunderbolt ports with USB 4 support and retains the sleek wedge-shaped design and the Magic Keyboard.  It also promises up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 18 hours of video playback — the longest battery life ever on a MacBook Air

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook with 4K AMOLED Display Launched at CES 2020

Samsung has launched Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2-in-1 running Chrome OS. It has a  13.3-inch 4K AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and has a “near-infinite screen” with 3.9mm bezels, and Samsung has said that support for HDR400 will be pushed through a software.

 It is powered by the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor paired with up to 16GB RAM with up to 1TB SSD. The graphics duties are handled by the Integrated Intel UHD GPU. It runs on Chrome OS and thanks to the Click-to-Call and Messaging apps, users can use the features present on Samsung smartphone directly on the Galaxy Chromebook. Regarding the connectivity, it supports the latest WiFI 6, fingerprint scanner, and interestingly it sports a 1MP front camera and also an 8MP camera that is present on the keyboard deck. Coming to the I/O, it has 2 x USB Type-C ports, 3.5mm audio jack, and UFS/MicroSD card reader. Lastly, it packs a 49.2Wh battery and there is a built-in pen that lets users write, draw, and navigation the laptop.

CES 2020 : Lenovo launches new gaming devices, monitors

Lenovo has introduced Lenovo IdeaPad Creator 5, Legion Y740S gaming laptops, Lenovo Legion Boost Station, Lenovo Legion Y25-25, G32qc, Q27h Gaming monitors at CES 2020.
Lenovo Legion Y740S

Lenovo Legion Y740S is Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest gaming laptop yet with up to eight hours of battery life powered by up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9 processors reaching more than 5 GHz and Q-Control, with which users can shift gears with a simple press of their Fn+Q keys.

Performance Mode for higher frame rates, down-shift into Quiet Mode for better battery life to watch a movie or stay the course in Balance Mode for day-to-day usage. With a display up to 600 nits bright­ and VESA certified with Dolby Vision, it has a 60 Hz refresh rate so washed out images are a thing of the past. Dell Latitude 9510 is claimed to be the world's smallest and lightest commercial 15-inch PC with a weight of 3.2 pounds .15-inch InfinityEdge display available on a chassis that is touted to be of a 14-inch notebook size. Xiaomi has launched Mi Gaming laptop 2019 in China. Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 features a 144Hz display, quick cooling system, 9th Gen Intel Core processors

Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 comes with a  15.6-inch FULL HD Anti-glare display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, 178-degree of wide viewing angle, powered by up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 14nm processor clocked up to 4.5GHz, up to 6GB GeForce RTXTM 2060 GPU and it comes with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM with 512GB PCIe SSD.

Xiaomi has provided a new “Quick cooling” system that has built-in 3+2 large-diameter heat pipe, unique S-shaped turbine metal blades and 12V drive motor to increase the cooling efficiency by up to 60 percent. Regarding the audio, Xiaomi has included 2 x 3W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.

The keyboard included is a four partitioned backlit keyboard with 1.8mm keystroke, 5 programmable buttons, and 30-key anti-collision design. The connectivity options include USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C port, SD Card reader, HDMI 2.0 port, Ethernet port as well as 3.5mm  headphone/microphone jacks.

HP at CES 2019 has announced a revamped version of the current generation x360 15 convertible laptop, upgrades to OMEN 15 gaming laptops, HP Pavilion 27 Quantum Dot, Chromebook 14.

HP Spectre x360 15 will be the world’s first 15-inch laptop with an AMOLED display The AMOLED panel offers very bright and accurate colors, a very high contrast ratio, wide horizontal viewing angles, deep blacks, fast response time. The company says that the display will support HDR, but doesn’t specify whether it is HDR10 or Dolby Vision spec. HP didn’t reveal the screen resolution as well. It is powered by the powered by Intel’s quad-core Whiske Lake-U processors coupled with NVIDIA’s discrete GeForce GTX GPUs.




HP OMEN 15 gaming laptop comes with NVIDIA’s next-generation GeForce GPUs. It packs a 240Hz refresh rate display and a new WiFi 6 (802.11ax) controller. The OMEN 15 notebooks are powered by the Intel’s six-core Core i7-8750H processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q GPU. It packs 16GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB 7200 RPM HDD. It comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display that comes with a 2.48 thickness chassis and weighs 2.38 kg. It comes with up to 32 GB of DDR4-2667, Thunderbolt 3, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and so on. There is a front-facing HP Wide Vision HD Webcam.

HP Pavilion 27 Quantum Dot is the world’s first Quantum Dot on glass display, offering more than a billion viewable colors. It is expected to be available in March for a starting price of $399. The HP Pavilion 27 FHD offers a variety of features such as built-in B&O audio and a pop-up privacy camera, and is expected to be available in March for a starting price of $329. The HP Pavilion 32 QHD is a dynamic display with immersive QHD resolution and stunning vantage points from almost any angle. It is expected to be available in June for a starting price of $379.99.



HP  Chromebook 14 which is also the first ChromeOS-powered PC featuring an AMD processor. It sports a 14-inch HD (1366×768 resolution) SVA display panel with anti-glare coating. It is based on AMD’s A4-9120C processor running at 1.8 GHz and the GCN 1.2-based Radeon R4 iGPU with 128 SPs operating at 720 MHz. It packs 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of local eMMC storage, and has a Qualcomm 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 controller, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, a microSD card reader, a dual microphone array, B&O-badged speakers, a webcam. The company says that it can last up to nine hours and 15 minutes on a single charge.

HP Spectre X360 with AMOLED display-equipped Spectre x360 15 will be available in March. HP OMEN 15 gaming laptops will be made available in the coming months and the NVIDIA’s next-gen GPUs will start at $1,370
