Poco has launched the Poco C55 smartphone in the C series. It comes with an Helio G85 processor, 50MP Camera priced under Rs 10,000. Is it worth buying let's find out in our review.
Poco C55 has a 6.71-inch HD+ Notch Display with bezels like any other budget phone. Volume rocker and a power button on the right side, SIM card tray slot on the left side. On the bottom, It has a micro USB port, primary microphone, and Speaker grill. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is provided on the top. On the rear, it has a 50MP Dual camera setup, a fingerprint sensor Poco C55 has a polycarbonate back with a leather stitched pattern which looks good. The phone weighs 195 grams. It comes with IP52 water and dust resistance.
Poco C55 has a 6.71-inch (1650 x 720 pixels) HD+ Notch display which produces good colors and viewing angle, In outdoor display brightness is decent. It comes with Panda glass protection. Poco C55 lacks a higher refresh Rate.
Pocco C55 is powered by Octa Core MediaTek Helio G85 12nm processor with up to 1000MHz ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. It has 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64/128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage which is further expandable up to 1TB with microSD. In terms of gaming or normal usage Performance is good, RAM management is good, no major heating issues.
It has a 50MP rear primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and 5MP front camera. Both cameras can record 100p videos. Camera mode includes Photo Mode, 50MP Mode, Timelapse, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Document Mode, Movie Frame, and Voice Shutter. The rear camera captures good images in daylight conditions, and low light is decent. the front camera is decent.
Poco C55 is packed by a 5000mAh battery which is able to deliver around one day of battery with normal use. In our battery test, we got around 8 hours of battery life. It comes with 10W Charging support which takes around 3 hours to charge a 5000mAh Battery.
Poco C55 runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13. It does come with a Poco launcher, Mi Dialer, few preloaded apps which can be uninstalled. The overall user interface is good. It has a Rear-mounted fingerprint scanner setup which works fast, the fingerprint scanner could have been placed a little bit lower. It comes with Dust and Splash resistant (IP52). Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, . The call quality output is good, and the Speaker output is decent.
Poco C55 is priced at Rs 9499 for 4GB RAM and Rs 11,999 for 6GB RAM. It offers good performance, camera, and battery life but lacks a higher refresh Rate. Infinix Note 12i with AMOLED Screen, Realme C55, and Moto G32 with FHD+ Screen are other options available.
